On Friday evening, the 19 day of June, 2009. The beloved wife of Pastor Odell Daughtry departed this earth to meet her Lord and Savior.

Patsy Daughtry

Dear Father in Heaven, we so cherished the time you blessed us with Patsy. I know you are enjoying her sweet voice in heavens choir. She is such a sweet sweet spirit and left a mark on this earth, evidenced by the hearts she touched. Her testimony left no doubt she is a child of God. Some of us have only known her for a short time, others a very long time. But just knowing her at all is truly one of the greater blessings of this earthly life. Her dedication to her Church, her family, her dear husband, and her Lord ,was evident in all she did here.

I am reminded of a song, Angels gathering flowers . There is one more rose in the masters bouquet now. As much as we will miss her, we can rejoice in the knowledge she is with you , and feels no more pain.

Lord I lift up her family to you , wrap your loving arms around them, give them strength to go forward as you would have them to.

I also ask a special prayer for our Church Lord. May your light shine bright so that all will know that you sent your Son to die for the lost.

I pray that we honor Patsy's life here by being the best testimony we can so that others will see You, in us. I know that is what she wants also because that's how she lived her life.

Father again, help all of us thru these times in our life that are so hard  to understand. We know we can come before you for comfort. Thank you for your many blessings......................................................................Amen

Dear Beloved Friends of GIMI,

Blessed greetings to you in the precious name of Jesus! I am writing to you today to share with you the bittersweet news that one of the greatest Christian ladies that JoAnne and I have ever met is now at home with Jesus. Last Friday evening, Sister Patsy Daughtry, the beloved wife of Pastor Odell Daughtry, of North Bay Baptist Fellowship in Ingleside, Texas went home to be with Jesus after a long arduous battle with cancer. JoAnne and I both believe that Sister Patsy was truly one of the most Christ-like women we have ever known. She was a great wife to her blessed husband, a marvelous mother to her three adult children, a loving grandmother, and truly, a dynamic leader and example for the ladies of North Bay Fellowship. I would call Patsy a genuine Proverbs 31 lady! Our lives down here are saddened by her absence, but heaven has been enriched because she is now home with Jesus. We are heart broken for the family and church family, but we are happy that she no longer has to suffer from the terrible case of melanoma she endured for many months.

Patsy Daughtry could surely carry the title of the First Lady of North Bay, but more than this, she could carry the title of an unselfish sacrificial servant of God always going the second and third mile to minister to others. Patsy always had a smile for everyone, and her sense of humor was so contagious. Yes, we will all miss Patsy so much, but our lives have been so enriched because we were permitted to fellowship with her and her dear family for many years. I know that JoAnne and I have been so blessed to have known Patsy and her wonderful family. Only eternity will reveal the lasting impact of Patsy's life! And, what a reunion we are going to have when we see her again on the other side!

Now in the midst of my personal and selfish tears, please pray for me as I will be flying to Texas early tomorrow morning to conduct Patsy's funeral. This will be a hard one for me because we loved her so much, but yet, it will truly be a celebration because Patsy lived out her life in such a way that there is no doubt where she is. She had Jesus in her heart, and she showed him to everyone that came in contact with her! Pray that God might use me to comfort and encourage the family, and pray that lost people will get saved at the funeral because this is why Patsy requested that I do her funeral. She wanted people to come to Jesus, and she knew how much I love lost souls! Pray much for Pastor Odell, the children, the grandchildren, and of course, the entire North Bay family. Pastor Odell, Please know that we are really praying for you at this difficult time, and we thank you from the depth of our hearts for your kindness in sharing Patsy with us! And, please know that you have been a wonderful husband to this great lady!

Prayerfully yours,
Pastor Stan Frye
